The 3rd Annual Stater Bros. Charities Dave Stockton Heroes Challenge presented by Pepsi and Frito Lay was held on March 1, 2010 at the historic Victoria Club in Riverside, California. As the premier Tournament Invitational in the Inland Empire, sponsors showed their support to help Stater Bros. Charities care for the community by stepping up to the plate yet again and raising more than $550,000 to be distributed throughout the communities Stater Bros. Supermarkets serves.

Dave Stockton, PGA and Champions Tour Professional, co-hosts the event with long-time friend Jack H. Brown, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Stater Bros. Markets. Both Stockton and Brown were raised in San Bernardino, California and their allegiance to the Empire runs deep.

The “Heroes Challenge” was created during a critical time for the local Southern California community. With the downturn in the economy many non-profits have turned toward Stater Bros. Charities to help meet their financial needs while they are being hit the hardest. This year, the Tournament proceeds will be donated to local organizations that are assisting and caring for our Nation’s Veterans, “Heroes” to our Country’s heartland.

The “Heroes Challenge” is limited to 132 players who compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
